PTSA General Meeting Minutes
Thursday, January 12, 2012
Call to Order 7:05 pm
Welcome/Introduction Rex Garrett , PTSA President

Review of Minutes: n/a Approval of Previous Minutes: n/a
Special Presentation: Jose Gregory teacher of the year, and PTSA presented him with a small token
of appreciation.
Treasurers Report
• Review of the Treasurers report.
• State there is a shortage on the anticipation of the budgeted amount. The passed out report was missing two figures: $300 Awards/Reflections- Nov and $60 for Awards/Reflection December.
• Approx 2/3 of the enrichment fees have been collected from families.
• The budget may need to be adjusted (there are departmental projects coming up).
• Within the treasurer report was the presentation of the interest of surveying a random Beta Test of familes to try an online form.

Principal’s Report – Susan McCauley
• Acknowledgement of faculty in attendance.
• Thanked the PTSA for the display screens in the lower and upper lobbies.
• Presentation on the PSAT
Dr. Klein (Artistic Report)
• Dance Concert- Jan. 20 8PM, Jan 21 2Pm & 8PM, and Jan. 22 2PM
• BHT has been cast, the Thespian Conference is Feb 10 & Feb 11 and will present Dark of the Moon.

Announcements:
• Mr. Funderburke received a check $1,175 from PTSA to assist with students in ProArte and HILeit to attend the completion and for the meals for the Westminster Choir College.
• Ms Diamond thanked the PTSA for the monies to purchase the supplies to paint the lower hallway. She is asking for old neckties for an art project.
• The media department has received the donation of a 17” color printer from Duane Stork, so Mr. M will re-propose to the PTSA a request for ink and paper supply.
• 5 people are needed for the nominating committee.

• Student Performances
o The meeting concluded with two dance performances.
