The Reflections Program, with this year’s theme of “Believe, Dream, Inspire” is designed to enhance a quality arts education by providing an opportunity for students to explore their artistic talents and receive positive recognition for their efforts. Students will be able to submit works of art in the following categories:
- Musical Composition
- Literature
- Dance Choreography
- Film Production
- Visual Arts
- Photography
Please remember that each entry must contain a title, an artist statement between 10 and 100 words, and be signed by both the student and a parent. If any person other than the student is depicted in the artwork, they must sign a consent form. Students must submit a completed entry form signed by a parent along with their artwork. The artwork must adhere to the rules listed for their specific area. More information, including rules and entry forms, can be found on the PTA website.
DSA PTSA will recognize DSA’s 1st and 2nd place winners and these winners also will go on to compete at the county level. County winners advance to the state PTA level, and state winners advance to the national PTA competition. Georgia entries have been very successful in past years, with several County, State, and National winners! The deadline to receive DSA entries is Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Please submit all entries at the front office by 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 10. Entries must be clearly marked PTSA – 2013-14 Reflections Contest.
