Dear PTA/PTSA members,
It’s time to accept nominations for PTSA officers. The nominating committee is responsible for selecting and presenting the slate of officers at the election meeting at the April 14th PTSA meeting at 7:00pm in the Kyle Theater.
We need nominees for the following positions:
- President (Can be 2 who co-chair)
- Vice President (Can be 1 or 2 people serving)
- Secretary
- Treasurer
The Nominating Committee will review nominations for elected offices, may conduct interviews and submit a Nominating Committee report to the Board of Directors and to members of the PTSA at the election meeting.
The nomination form is here and on the PTSA website. Deadline for submitting nominations form for officers is Wednesday March 26, 2014.
The Georgia PTA suggested qualification list:
- Knowledgeable about and adheres to the Purposes and basic policies of PTA.
- Knows parliamentary procedures,
- Experienced in PTA or other organizational work.
- Has a sense of just and fairness.
- Exhibits enthusiasm for PTA.
- Willingness to make PTA a priority for his/her schedule relative to the responsibilities and duties of the position.
Attached is a nomination form and information on the DSA PTSA Board Roles. Forms are also available in the school office at the reception desk or you can email the nomination to dsa.ptsab@gmail.com.
Please include all requested information from the form in emailed nominations so we can include them in the process; we cannot include incomplete nomination forms.
