Updates and Reminders:

*Donations of Kleenex (tissue), hand sanitizer, feminine products, water and snacks (crackers, granola bars) are needed for front office and student/teacher support.  Donate this week and enter your donation in signup.com volunteer log.
*Your input is needed on the DCSD SPLOST V Facilities and Feasibility plans. Click HERE to view the three proposed plans and give feedback.
*Junior dues are now being collected ($200).  This includes prom, yearbook with student name, shirts, and other class expenses.  Full or partial payments may be submitted to Mrs. McClendon, 11th Grade Sponsor.
*DSA Production Calendar and Rehearsal Schedule are posted on the DSA Website
*8th, 10th, and 11th Grade students will take the PSAT on October 19 for free.  9th grade students may pay $15 to take the test.  Pick forms were sent home last week.  This form must be returned (with payment if needed) in order to have the correct number of tests ordered.  Due date is September 16.
*DCSD’s award winning student program “The Bridge” is holding auditions on August 31.  Registration deadline is August 29.  Emaildekalbschoolstv@gmail.com to register for an audition.
*Senior families – Have you scheduled your Senior Meeting with Dr. Crosslin? If not, refer to the information given to students and mailed home to register for your appointment.  Slots are going fast!
*Student parking permits are now available.  Cost is $20 per semester.  See Campus Supervisor, Mr. Franks, for an application.  All student drivers are required to register their vehicle and have a parking permit .  Deadline for 1st semester is September 2.

WEEKDAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Have you always wanted to see the inner-workings of our school? Have you been waiting for a chance to volunteer during school hours?  Would you like a consistent “job” at DSA? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you would be a perfect media center or front office VOLUNTEER!  We are looking for volunteers who can commit to regular hours at the school.  Volunteers will be trained, and will work a minimum of two shifts per month.  If you are interested, please email Allyson Gevertz atpsymom2000@hotmail.com
