ANNOUNCEMENTS

♪ DeKalb School of the Arts’ Cameron Capers (senior) is attending the Grammy Foundation’s Grammy Camp -Jazz Session Program from Feb. 1-11 in Los Angeles, CA. Capers is one of only 31 students from across the nation to be selected. He is also part of the Grammy in the Schools Media Team, which will document and share the experience across many social networking platforms.
♪ The DSA 8th grade Parent/Student Advisement Meeting will be Monday, February 4th at 5:30pm in the Cafeteria.  Eighth grade parents and students should plan to attend. Diploma Choices will be selected and a Four Year Plan will be developed for each 8th grade student at this meeting.
♪ The National College Fair will be in Atlanta on Sunday, February 10th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Georgia World Congress Center.  This is free to students and parents. Register at www.gotomyncf.com.  Students who are interested in the performing and visual arts can learn more about this at www.gotomypvafair.com

REMINDERS

♪ Parents are reminded that students may not be checked out after 2:45pm.  Please plan accordingly.
♪ Review dress code expectations. Students are held accountable for appropriate dress from Day 1. Click here for the DCSD dress code.
♪ Students are not allowed to charge meals. Payments may be made through mylunchmoney.com or directly to the cafeteria staff.

Then Scenery Saturday is the place for you!

You can get many volunteer hours by helping out at Scenery Saturday. We welcome your help anytime from 10-4. Be sure to wear clothes you can get dirty and close toed shoes. If you have any questions, please contact Mongo.
